Shamelessly plugged the event at the Jackals last weekend may have persuaded some more people to come along

Definitely turning up. It's just an open debate whether I'll be able to get the entrance fee in before the day.

Congrats to the whole event team on a faction event that was a lot of fun.

It wasn't just fun though, it seemed very well run and the speed of encounter turnaround was impressive. Some of those monsters had insane amounts of energy! :)

Thanks for all your efforts, they were very much appreciated.

Seconded! Thank you so much guys, we had a really excellent event.

I suspect I'm not going to stop bouncing about that Ganglandir mission for a while yet.....

Just got back from the Tarantula's Event, Unleashed. Some of the fights we had were just plain scary! :D All limbs intact though and only slightly charred from what seemed like a never-ending barrage of innate Magebolts :D I look forward to a full debrief from Order and Chaos.

I had a great time, unfortunately offset by not getting offsite unti 18:22 due the the 3 or 4 of us who ended up doing most of the takedown on our own and thus getting majorly **** by the head warden.
If the Wolves get banned from the site over it then anyone who just toddled off home without helping at all will have contributed to that.

(This is my toned down version, due to being too shattered to mostly give a **** anymore)

I'm home too now. Had a great time during the event, was really happy to see how much fun everyone seemed to have. However.....

During the OOC stuff at the end of the event I mentioned the wardens were quite friendly towards us so a few minutes extra time to finish up wouldn't cause us problems. Well that changed today. Basically, there were too few people who stayed behind to help compared to the amount of work needed meaning the wardens had to help us. We used to have a great reputation with the Wardens at John's Lee wood but if a new site asked me for a reference from another site, I wouldn't dare offer them John's Lee would now.

I left the site embarrassed and ashamed as well as the usual tired. I calmed down a little on the 3.5 hour drive home through the roadworks with breaks to make sure I didn't fall asleep.

Really sorry to hear that guys, you staged a fantastic event and didn't deserve that kind of aggravation at the end of it. I left at 3:45pm and made it home for 10:15pm. If I'd stayed to clean it would've been closer midnight, which is why I couldn't stick around, as it wasn't my home I was coming back to.

Ok, that's totally unfair for the event organisers to be stuck with putting in that much work for takedown, especially after spending so much effort running the event over the weekend.

I can only guess that many people made the same assumption I did, that there would be sufficient help.

I'd made arrangements that involved me needing to leave right away, but not going to use that as an excuse, as I could have put in 30 minutes of effort, or even if it was only 15 mins, if lots of people do that, it saves hours of time for the event crew.

I'm sorry for letting you down, you didn't deserve that at all.

Next event, let's make sure that this doesn't happen again. I'm happy to volunteer to go hassle people to put in even a few minutes each.

A real heartfelt apopology from me and Anji we wish we had done a bit more for you before we left but made the unfortunate assumption that things were a bit furthur ahead.

Sorry again
