James - As the Wolves are hosting the summer moot, and it's a huge task to plan, do you need any support/ prop building, etc...? I'm sure people in the faction, myself included, will be happy to help organise and build stuff for the moot.

[in addition] Does the hosting faction (still) get an extended setup crew allowance?

We are alway short on peeps to do circle and set piece setup, the hosting faction does normally have a larger crew but I am not sure on the numbers allowed.

One of the things i can tell you about is that we are going to try and turn the bar into a proper Norse Mead Hall!

We are going to use the faction hangings and banners to decorate the bar as much as we can combined with extra stuff from the LT lockup to make the bar more IC. The staff will have costume and i'd like to make this as much a part of the set as the main tent with the ritual circle! Talkie plot may happen there so keep a watch out. Anything people can contribute to that would be great... I know DM had an idea of a huge banner.

The set is going to be reasonably simple as it needs to go up and come down in time for the Gathering. I have given the LT notice of what we would like and will be on site from the Saturday before the event to do setup. If anyone wants to join me, let me know ASAP or reply here. Though i warn you now... it will be alot of hard work.

Monster wise i have already writen alot of encounters and picked key monsters who have already been in play, and as its my job to entertain all of the factions and guilds with main plot alot of our encounters will be all over the place. Anyone who wants to monster for sections of the event to help out can do so. There will be Event Plot encounters hitting other factions twice every three hours outside of mass battles and LT meal times. Rather than it being purely for Wolves to solve the plot i'd like to think that this is our turn to entertain everyone else and to show them what we do at our sanctioned events!

Lets make this the best main event for years!

my only worry is we dont have much in the way of banners (from memory i mean) I think if people could all help out and help kit out the IC Command tent aswell as the bar it would help massively. I will try and get some banners done over the next few weeks - as cheaply as possible - so if anyone could recommend colours and pictures to put on them please dont hesitate to pm me. Lets make the faction look awesome! because lets face it.....we are!

If you're going to be using the banners for the mead hall does that mean the command tent will be bare? If so, then perhaps we should be making a few more.

While we are on the topic of props. whatever happened to the Wolf Faction Gate? Is it still around?

James - I can probably come up for the weekend (31st July - 1st August) to help set up if that's useful.

Tammy - I have some white material (Ikea) that I can give you to use. I travel past Reading to get to work so could drop it off if that would help.

The gate Welshie and I built ended up on the fire after 2 years as there was nowhere to store it. The wolf head and Thor's hammer plaques for it should be somewhere in faction kit, as should a large foam latex wolves head symbol and 2 mdf wolves rampent.
The NDM had built a new gate last year butI do not know if they will be able to bring it to the moot, you arebst off talking to Glenn.
If they arenot needed forwolf militia you can always use the tabbards as extra banners, again the should all be in faction kit.

The weekend before is where they put the biggest tents up so i suspect that would be good... after that it's a case of just doing the details inside (though i make that sound so easy....)

I will contact Chris and see what we are allowed to do and come back here with details once i get a reply.

It usually takes 10 people a couple of days.

I'll know for certain at the beginning of July but I should be able to help out for setup for the week before. I also usually stay over at the Moots for the week after to help with LT take down because I have Bloodstock Festival just a few miles down the road on the Thursday after the Moots.

As I say, nothing is set in stone until July though so I'll keep you posted.

No idea what happened to the 'Wolf Faction' gate. The one that the NDM brought with them to last years Gathering needs a rather large van. So only comes out to play at the Gathering (only if we can bring it).

Just an idea but it would be great if we could have all of the groups banners in the command tent. You are more than welcome to have the Shian flag if you need it.
