Do you mean tabs? Or do you mean chords?

I don't really do tabs. My learning of music was done on a recorder, and a trombone, in the dark ages. Guitar I get no further than chords...

Just checking terms

Tabs = 'pictures' of fingerings of chords/notes in a sequence

Staves = "tadpoles on telephone cables" = written music

?

If anyone has chords for songs they would like converted to TAB format, I'm sure there are several of us that can do it.

A lot of the songs are taken from traditional songs. The best place to find tabs and/or chords for these is the Mudcat Café, (http://www.mudcat.org).

Most of the Wolf songs are written for open chord acoustic guitar, and a lot of the threads on here do have the chords within the lyrics to the song. These will not translate over to tab, as there is no point, it's just open chords. Tabs are only mainly used for lead style melodies, not for folky, open chord acoustic stuff. Also, a lot of the songs are traditionally (or at least most often) sung a cappella, and the melodies are passed from Bard to Bard, so again, no tabs are written down. For those that are transcribed from popular songs, the tabs/chords/melodies can be found using a search engine of your preference, as can the open chords in tab form, but so long as you know an Em from a G, you should be ok with the vast majority of stuff on here.

The melody for Fields of Vanaheim can be found here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbiEOxLTP9g

The chords for My God can be found here:

http://www.bardsguild.co.uk/song_mygods ... urgod.html

I've found it is sometimes necessary to transpose the chords up or down by a couple of keys to get it in the correct key for me to sing, and eliminate any evil chords I can't play.

For a quick online reference for chord<->tab conversion, try:
