Finding the true names Demon is not easy. As once found it can allow it to be summoned, make it easier to control and often form part of the required task to truely destroy it. So hiding it is high on a Demon's todo list, sneaky Demon's like Mr M had three part, one for body, mind and pattern. But to answer the question some suggestions.

1. Control the Demon and ask. (Although if you can do that you don't really need it's true name)

2. A Demon could have written it down and stored it some where. (Whilst this may sound silly by writting it down it make it easier to perform a ritual on it, there by hidding it from other method.)

3. Ask a Knowledge Demon/Elemental propably requiring a ritual. A rite may work but is unlikley too. (Demon may have taken steps to stop this working see point 2)

4. Ask a Demon B who doesn't like Demon A. (Enermy of my Enermy sort of thing.)

5. Work up chain of command. (A possiblity as some Demon give their name to trust commands to allow communication etc, but most don't)

6. Research. (Some one may have come across the Demon before and documented it's true name)

7. Look at it really hard. (I've never heard of this working but the right skill set and getting really close to demon and examining it might reveal it).

Thanks for the information Terwin!

An aspect of the Moon Ancestor

I do owe a better explaination, so hopefully not to cause any offence.

I wasn't refering to Mani as the Moon Ancestor, more for example, The Patriarch Ancestor can refer to any ancestor like Odin, Zues and so on. Just in brevity didn't explain it properly.

One thing worth knowing is the history of Lunas joining the Norse pantheon, I know it was by Odin's command quite a few years ago but I don't know much beyond that. The nature of the relationship between Mani and Lunas might be important to any effort to rebind Profius.

Mani and his sister Sol are the Aesir ancestors of the moon and the sun. They exist in the ancient tales and have a passage in the legend of Ragnarök. Beyond this I have no bearing on when they were born or were cast into the heavens by the Norse ancestors to drive the sun and moon across the sky.
