What makes it hard to diagnose is that the SQL it complains about is blank, viz '' so can't find where the query is in the code :(

Hmmm... that's a point, is it just not shown in the rror msg.
Can someone who can generate that error and preferably has FireFox Web Developer Tools add-on check the Generated Source and see in there is some freaky tag hiding in there??

Recently had a similar issue within the work place.

Turned out to be ' in the data being submitted that wasn't being correctly handled by the code.

Alas it wasn't me that fixed it., so I cant be more specific than that.

Yup, it's often "special characters" when a seemingly random selection of users encounter such errors.

I've not been able to reproduce th error with any account I make up.

If someone who is getting the error would like to email their username and password to postmaster@wolf-faction.org.uk then I could try with an account I know should explode?

Implies the issue isn't with the account then, but something to do with the browser?

Or could it be odd and more complex and something to do with session variables or something? DM, with that other person's account, did you try doing "normal stuff" first, like checking a few forums and posts before going to booking?

Right, nut to crack a hammer time.

If anyone who currently has problems would like to do the following

Log in as normal
go to http://www.wolf-faction.com/test/ where you will got loads of debug output
click to events, Hands... then Book Online.
If it goes bang, cut and paste the screen text into an EMAIL not a PM, or a posting here!!!!
and send it to postmaster@wolf-faction.org.uk
control A then control C should get it all.
( then return tohttp://www.wolf-faction.com/main/)

I only care about the page that goes bang, not any of the other ones.

Tip:

If the page goes bang, you can also create a new temporary user account (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279783) and try using that new user account also.

This will isolate if it's a User Profile issue, or "something else"

Would a few people who have had previous problems like to check it out now?

It's now working fine for me, no imploding or anything, I was able to fill in all the different sections, but I didn't confirm the booking as I'm already booked and didn't want to confuse things.

Vic

Don't worry about confirming bookings confusing things. I can delete it afterwards and one of the things that seemed to be going wrong was around that stage so it will help if people do follow right through (but obviously don't try to pay).

Could all the people who had problems booking please visit the booking pages and confirm whether or not they still explode.
Without feedback we can't fix things.
